Forgotten Amusement Park to Return: “We’re Working on a Great Concept”

Amusement parks are springing up like mushrooms after the rain not only in Europe – we are talking about gigantic projects such as Bedford in Great Britain or Disneyland in Abu Dhabi.

Not everyone is looking for thrills like the rollercoasters at Energylandia. A more intimate space is soon to be available again in the village of Hurn, close to Bornemouth Airport, which we can fly to directly from Poland. It is a park with an "Alice in Wonderland" theme.

Adventure Wonderland. What amusement park is this?

Adventure Wonderland transformed… from a farm to an amusement park in the 1990s.

In 2023, the park had financial problems and was closed, but it will apparently not disappear, but will return in a new form. It will be smaller, and among the attractions for the youngest will be a go-kart track, mini-golf and a maze. The recreational area will also reopen the shop and café, which are part of the existing educational facility.

The park unveiled its plans on Instagram in September last year. “With the Alice in Wonderland maze at its heart, we’re working on a wonderful new concept with children’s play areas, sensory and flower gardens, and beautiful outdoor spaces where children and adults can spend time together,” it says. The owners insist they’re committed to providing a high-quality experience for visitors. Before the closure, a child aged 3+ ticket cost £20, the same as an adult.

When will we take advantage of the new attractions?

Although the British media recently reminded us that this attraction will return, they do not provide any information on when it will be possible to play in this place again. Families with children will certainly visit it sooner than the Universal film studio complex in Bedford. The park near Bornemouth announced that the "new adventure" will begin in 2025. So if you dream of taking your children there, it is best to follow Adventure Wonderland on social media.

The Lewis Carroll-themed park hosted up to 180,000 people a year before it closed, offering attractions including roller coaster rides and large cups of tea.
